Service Description
⛓️ Aerial Chains: Low Intermediate Apparatus Class Ready to take on a challenge? Aerial Chains offer a powerful, dramatic, and demanding experience that will elevate your strength and precision. This class focuses on movement, conditioning, and technique unique to this high-contact apparatus. Prerequisites: Establish Your Foundation This class is designed for students with an existing aerial foundation and is not suitable for absolute beginners. • Required Level: You must be at a low intermediate aerial level or higher. • New to Chains? If you are new to the aerial arts, we strongly recommend attending our Sling/Hammock classes first to build the necessary body awareness and strength. • Know the Difference: While rigging is similar to soft apparatuses, skills from hammock or body loops do not always directly transfer. Approach chains with an open mind and be prepared for a distinct learning curve. Essential Attire & Gear Safety and comfort are key when working with metal. Layers are strongly encouraged to protect your skin and enhance your grip: • Full coverage is a must: Leggings and leg warmers or trapeze boots. • A shirt that covers the armpits. • Nitrile work gloves (Recommended for hand protection and grip.) • Heels are optional for experienced users. Safety & Risk Acknowledgment The physical demands of chains require careful attention to safety and gradual progression. • Bruising & Contact: Expect and embrace the bruising (which is often more intense early on). Skin may be pinched or pulled, and fingers can potentially get caught. • Caution: Chains can swing unexpectedly, so focus and awareness are paramount. • Build Tolerance Slowly: Do not push yourself to the point of injury. Instead, slowly build your pain tolerance as you progress. Safety is our number one priority. • Important Health Note: Individuals on blood thinners are advised not to take this class due to the high risk of significant bruising. By signing up, students acknowledge and accept these inherent risks and commit to prioritizing safety.
