About Pole Impact
Pole Impact is a Tucson-based nonprofit studio using pole & aerial arts to build strength, community, and healing—especially for veterans and survivors of trauma. We operate a welcoming, inclusive space and offer specialized programming alongside public classes and events.
The Role
We’re looking for a Website Manager to own the upkeep, performance, and growth of our Wix website. You’ll keep content fresh and on-brand, improve user experience, and make sure our site helps visitors become students, donors, and partners.
What You’ll Do

Content & Updates: Keep pages current (classes, schedules, instructors, events, Veteran Program); create new pages/sections as needed.

Wix CMS & Bookings: Manage Collections/Databases, dynamic pages, and Wix Bookings (classes, memberships, passes).

On‑Page SEO: Titles, meta descriptions, headers, internal links, alt text, URL structure, 301 redirects.

Local SEO: Keep NAP consistent, optimize studio pages for Tucson, manage Google Business Profile basics, add event and FAQ schema (as feasible in Wix).

Performance & QA: Optimize images, check mobile layouts, fix broken links, test forms/flows, maintain accessibility best practices (contrast, headings, focus order, link names).

Analytics & Reporting: Maintain GA4 and basic dashboards; track goals (bookings, contact, donate), monthly insights with actions.

Campaign Support: Build landing pages for promotions (e.g., showcases, workshops, veteran events), connect to Wix Automations and email lists.

Governance: Maintain a simple change log, backups/duplicates before major edits, and a content calendar.

Security & Uptime: Monitor site status, role-based access, and publish approvals.
Must‑Have Skills

Hands-on Wix experience (Editor/X, Collections, Bookings, Forms, Automations).

Strong grasp of on‑page SEO and UX for conversion.

Image optimization and basic graphic editing (e.g., Canva).

Comfortable with GA4 basics and UTM tracking.

Excellent writing/editing for web (clear, concise, on-brand).
Nice to Have

Wix Studio or Velo (basic custom code) familiarity.

Experience with nonprofits, fitness/wellness, or veteran‑serving orgs.

Google Tag Manager, schema markup, A/B testing.

Accessibility audits (WCAG 2.2 AA awareness).
Time & Commitment

Hours: 3 hrs/week to start; may increase during launches/events.

Schedule: Flexible; respond to urgent site issues within 24 hours.

Compensation: This is an unpaid volunteer role. Perks may include class discounts, showcase tickets, and official verification of volunteer hours.
